Frequently Asked Questions
Below are answers to questions we hear most often. If yours is not listed, contact us.
General
How are accounting fees determined?
Fees depend on company type, monthly invoice volume, number of employees and any additional services, based on the minimum fee schedule published by TÜRMOB. We give you a clear quote after an initial meeting.
How do I send my documents?
e-Invoices and e-Archive documents reach us automatically. Paper documents can be dropped at our office or sent as photos/PDFs by email or WhatsApp.
How do I switch to you from my current accountant?
We manage the transition: we coordinate the handover of books and records from your previous accountant and update e-Ledger and e-Filing authorisations. Switching at the start of a month is smoothest.
Company Formation
Should I set up a sole proprietorship or a limited company?
A sole proprietorship is cheaper to set up and run, but profits are taxed at progressive income tax rates and liability is unlimited. A limited company pays corporate tax and offers a flexible partnership structure. We calculate together which suits your expected profit.
How long does company formation take?
With complete paperwork, a sole proprietorship can usually start within a few days, and limited or joint-stock companies within about a week including trade registry registration.
What documents are needed to set up a company?
Copy of ID, proof of residence, office lease or title deed, activity details for the tax certificate and, depending on company type, a signature declaration. We provide a tailored checklist at the first meeting.
Tax & Social Security
What happens if I miss a tax filing deadline?
Late filings incur irregularity penalties and late payments accrue late-payment interest. We track the tax calendar, file on time and remind you of payment dates in advance.
What should I do when I hire a new employee?
The employment notification must be submitted to SGK before the employee starts. Just send us the employee’s details before the start date and we handle the notification and payroll.
Are the calculator results on the site exact?
The calculators are for information and give estimates using current rates. An exact figure requires reviewing your specific situation (incentives, cumulative tax base, exemptions) — feel free to ask us.
